77 Lubricite™

77 Lubricite™ is a shellac based padding lacquer thats proprietary formula makes up our modern-day French Polish. For anyone who hand polishes wood and leather. It can be mixed or combined with our QT and Arti-Olesol alcohol stains for staining and glazing. Use for touch-ups with aniline and mineral powders.

77 Lubricite ™ Hardener- A Nitro Cellulose based additive that gives extra durability to heavily used surfaces. Typically used on more heavily used surfaces and is not necessary to use with the 77 Lubricite™. This should be used by professionals with experience using 77 Lubricite™, as it can over harden the surface and lead to streaks, if not used sparingly. Add 4oz of hardener to 1 quart of 77 Lubricite™ if desired.

 Cheesecloth
 Tight Weave Cheesecloth for padding and staining. Available in 5lb, 10lb and 25lb boxes. This comes in a mixed box of different weave textures.

Premium Ganzie Rags
Superb quality rags designed for multi-tasking. Rags are lint-free, recycled T-shirts that are silk-screen free. Our biggest seller in rags because these are applicable to general-purpose cleaning.

Dust Masks
Non-toxic, particle, masks pass 50% less than comparable masks. Lightweight, comfortable and disposable.

Touch Up Powders– Mohawk extra fine ground touch-up pigment colors used for spot color replacement on all types of furniture, cabinets, plastics, leather, vinyl and in hundreds of other finishing applications. DP ARTI-OLESOL STAINS- Our Arti -Olesol DP stains have the same superior qualities as our QT stains, but has pigment paste added.

This stain is slower drying than our QT stains and has to be wiped off. It is a non-fading stain with brilliant color.

THINNERS, REMOVERS, SOLVENTS & 2-PART WOOD BLEACH

NO WASH REMOVER- *No Neutralization Required. Use wherever neutralization is not desirable as on fine furniture and fine antiques. Non-flammable. Low odor. Wipe clean after stripping with rags, or a solvent if so desired. Excellent for flow-on, dip tank systems and hand stripping. Will not pull stains or lighten the wood. Methylene chloride based.

  • ACETONE Fast-drying solvent with a multitude of applications. Add to lacquer thinners (up to 50%) in cold weather to speed up the drying time of nitrocellulose lacquers. For cleaning of raw wood or stripped wood and metal prior to finishing or refinishing. Also for rapid removal of moisture from wood surfaces prior to refinishing.

     

  • WOOD BLEACH ( Two Part) – For lightening wood and bleaching out stains. This industrial-strength two-part bleach can be picked up in NJ or you can send your own shipper. Top seller and strongest on the market. Use with CAUTION!  
    DIRECTIONS FOR BLEACH USE– Mix only what is needed. DO NOT store solution or return to container! Use rubber gloves. Mix in a glass container, 3 parts “A” to 1  part “B”. Mix thoroughly with a clean wooden or glass rod (DO NOT USE METAL). Apply mixture to clean sanded wood with a brush and wet wood completely. Allow to dry overnight, then sand smooth with 320 grit sandpaper.  If a whiter effect is desired, bleach again with 2 parts “A” to 1 part “B”. If red spots appear try to using If red spots appear try using diluted oxalic acid solution (1/4 lb. to 1 pint of water). Apply and let dry overnight. This may remove the spots. Alternate application applying 1 coat of “B” followed immediately with a coat of part “A”. For further bleaching, after four hours, apply another coat of part”A”. Neutralize bleach with acetic acid or vinegar.
  • BLUSH ELIMINATOR SOLVENT– Removes blush from sprayed lacquers, after the fact. It partially redissolves the lacquer then releases entrapped moisture. Spray a medium coat over the blushed lacquer. Levels orange peel and overspray too. It doesn’t leave the film soft.
  • DENATURED ALCOHOL– Pure denatured alcohol designed for thinning shellac and Sealcoat™. Excellent in wood prep cleaning and moisture removal. Apply a liberal coat at full strength on tight grain woods, it opens up the grain to allow deep penetration of a stain, thus increased color intensity. 80% ethyl alcohol and 20% isopropyl alcohol. 
  • #100 LACQUER THINNER– A superior quality all-purpose, medium temperature thinner. Excellent for neutralizing or washing furniture and millwork surfaces after stripping. Use to clean spray guns or add to any nitrocellulose, pre-cat, or conversion varnish. Use all year long at most temperatures. Our best seller! 1 and 5 gallons
  • #219 REDUCER– A medium drying reducer. Use with our BRASS/METAL LACQUERS.
  • L-10 RETARDER– Slow drying lacquer thinner. Start with adding 10% to lacquers and add more for slower drying.
  • MINERAL SPIRITS (Varnoline)– Premium universal thinner for stains and conventional wood fillers or for slowing down the drying times of penetrating stains and pigmented wiping stains.
  • ODORLESS MINERAL SPIRITS– All the properties of regular mineral spirits from which the odor has been distilled off.
  • OXALIC ACID WOOD TONER- Restores the natural look of the wood patina caused by elevated PH finish removers and weathering. Does NOT bleach the wood, just restores the natural color that has darkened. For best results: Dissolve 4oz to 8oz per gallon of warm water then apply by spray, brush, or wipe on. Let dwell on the surface to do its work. Powder form. Corrosive! Do NOT mix with any other product. ONLY with water!
  • VM&P NAPHTHA– Quick-drying and oilless naphtha. Use in place of or in conjunction with mineral spirits, turpentine or our wiping stain reducer to speed up drying time of stains or conventional paste wood fillers. Thins and cleans oil-based paints and stains. Works well with Japan colors.

  • #333  BLACK PRIMER High solids formula provides excellent sandability. Fast-drying primer that can be used on wood or metal.

BRASS LACQUERS-For metals

For metals. Our brass lacquers are made to last and will never peel. They will also stick to aluminum if prepped properly and mixed with 20% etching thinner.

PRIMERS

All of our Primers are sand-able. We recommend 2 coats. If you are using a soft or open grain wood, use 3 or 4 coats. Sanding between coats will help the coats adhere together. Below you will see all of the wood primers we have for sale
